Staff at New Community Church, located in Wildwood, Missouri, had previously worked with Faithful Bull with a different church organization. They asked us to create a short conceptual representation of their summer camp’s theme: Ascend. This would be a video that would be shown before every session, to set the tone and let students know that it is time to be seated. The idea behind the concept is that Christians are to have their minds and their hearts set on the “things above”, the “heavenly things” spoken about in Scripture. This short visualization created in After Effects takes the viewer from the gloomy, misty world below, through the clouds, and ascends to a beautiful, heavenly world above.
