The folks at the Mayo Center for Individualized Medicine contacted Faithful Bull to shoot and edit this short video telling the story of Denis, a man with a genetic mutation that has caused a certain rare kidney disease. Denis knew he had kidney disease for a long time; he just didn’t know exactly what caused it. The Mayo Clinic for Individualized Medicine helped him to discover the cause. Faithful Bull spent a day with Denis and his wife Lindsay shooting interviews and b-roll. Both Denis and Lindsay were great fun–it was like hanging out with old friends.
We had to give a quick turnaround, and so had to give Mayo a first edit within five days after shooting. We pulled it off, though. The folks at Mayo were extremely pleased with the first draft and requested very few changes.
From beginning to end, this video was an absolute joy to make. Everyone in the Mayo staff was helpful, friendly, and responsive. We definitely hope to work with them again.
